PPR
It is a very busy airfield and so entry is strictly PPR. Please seek permission to visit before you take-off.
The training site is within sensitive surroundings, therefore it is imperative that you make yourself aware of these areas and avoid them if you wish to fly in.
Hangars
There are a number of hangar slots available which house semi-rigged and fully-rigged aircraft and a new hangar is planned for several aircraft. These places will fill up fast but if you miss them there will be a waiting list for places as they become available. These will be advertised on the website.
Circuits
Noise sensitive areas to the North and to the South. Please avoid all local villages, only approach the airfield from East or West at minimum of 1000QFE.
Circuits at 500QFE.

Syndicate
A good way of affording a newer or more expensive machine is to join a syndicate which can be arranged through the school. Some 3-axis machines can cost over £40,000 and as there arent many of us with that much spare cash, the chance of a share in one is very appealing!
Sales
We can supply you with a second-hand microlight for figures in the region of £2,500 - £5,000 and brand new kit-built planes start at £13,500.
Staffordshire Microlights are also proficient in new aircraft sales so if you are thinking about purchasing a factory-built microlight we are happy to help, we
can work in unison with all the main manufacturers to ensure that you get the best deal around.
If you are not sure what you want to get then come and have a chat and well point you in the direction of the aircraft best suited to your needs.
From the north:
- Exit M6 at junction 13 and follow the A449 south signposted Penkridge.
- Through the village to a roundabout, where you turn left onto the A5012 just before the petrol station.
- After 300 yards, turn right into Boscomoor Lane and follow this road until you have gone over a canal bridge and under the motorway bridge.
- Next on the left is the airfield.
From the south:
- Exit M6 at junction 12 and follow the A5 west to Gailey roundabout.
- Turn right on A449 north towards Penkridge.
- At roundabout, just after petrol station, turn right onto the A5012, Boscomoor Lane.
